In this presentation, we’re diving into one of the most dangerous what-if scenarios on the board right now, examining what a renewed Korean War in 2026 would actually look like, how it would unfold, and where it would most likely end once you move past the headlines. We’ll break down both sides of the equation, starting with what a North Korean offensive might realistically achieve in the opening days and weeks, how its forces are structured along the DMZ, where key assets are positioned, and what its doctrine suggests it would attempt in a rapid escalation scenario. From there, we’ll flip the lens and unpack the US and South Korean response, how quickly forces could be brought to bear, how command and control would function under pressure, and which capabilities would actually prove decisive in a high-intensity fight on the peninsula. Across the session, we’ll also take the time to identify where the “real” combat power sits on both sides and where the key points of failure or escalation risk are likely to emerge.
